Privacy policy

OpenClaw Personal Assistant is a personal integration operated by Steven Walker. Updated October 11, 2026.

Information accessed and purpose

With the owner's permission, the assistant reads Gmail message metadata, such as sender, subject, date, labels, and identifiers, and message content when needed to summarize mail or answer the owner's questions. It uses this information only to provide the owner's requested personal assistant features.

Processing and sharing

OpenClaw runs on the owner's dedicated laptop. Email content selected for AI processing may be transmitted to OpenAI through the configured Codex connection. Summaries and replies delivered through Telegram are processed by Telegram. These services apply their own privacy and retention policies. Email content is not intentionally placed on this public website.

The operator does not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or provide it to unrelated recipients. Google API data is used in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Storage and retention

OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored locally using the Google tool's credential storage. OpenClaw may retain conversations, summaries, logs, and processed-message identifiers on the laptop. Retention is controlled by the owner; no automatic deletion period is currently configured. Copies processed by OpenAI or delivered through Telegram are subject to those services' controls and retention policies.

Permissions and controls

Gmail authorization is read-only. The owner can stop the assistant, remove locally retained data, and revoke access at Google Account connections. Revoking access prevents future authorized reads but does not automatically erase previously retained conversations or summaries.

Website hosting

This informational website is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare. It contains no analytics scripts, forms, or application cookies. Cloudflare may process standard request information, including IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and secure the website.
